Oceanstar Contracting is a construction company located in Victoria, BC. We are currently seeking two qualified Landscape Horticulturists to join our team. The role entails planning and coordinating the growth and utilization of plants for landscaping, ornamental purposes, and other relevant applications.

Position: Landscape Horticulturist
Wage: C$ 23.00-30.00 hourly (to be negotiated)
Working Hours:     30-40 hours working / week (to be negotiated)
Vacation Pay: 4% of gross salary
Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Job duties:
●       Create landscape design plans and responsible for the actual construction work of landscape projects.
●       Supervise the execution of the entire project, including communication and coordination with clients, contractors, and other horticultural professionals
●       Responsible for planting, pruning, trimming, and weeding.
●       Choose and arrange plants based on geographical location, climatic conditions, soil types, and client preferences. This includes selecting trees, shrubs, flowers, and other ground cover plants.
●       Evaluate soil conditions and take measures to improve soil for promoting plant growth.
●       Stay updated on the latest developments in horticulture, landscaping techniques, and plant species to enhance professional knowledge and skills.

Requirements:
●       A relevant educational background will be considered an asset for admission
●       1 to 2 years of related experience preferred.
