Position: Wholesale Buyer (NOC 62101)

Salary: C$29.75/hour

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours of Work: 35 to 40 hours per week

JOB DESCRIPTION:

· Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, stay updated on emerging trends and global trading markets.

· Purchase flooring products for wholesale resale in the North American market.

· Identify and select suppliers that meet North American market needs and quality standards.

· Monitor and order appropriate quantities and types of flooring based on wholesale demand and market conditions.

· Maintain accurate stock levels and provide regular reports to management.

· Negotiate pricing, discounts, and logistics with suppliers to ensure accurate delivery and meet gross profit expectations.

· Arrange and create purchasing plans according to Oakel City Floors’ business goals and development.

· Assess distributor purchasing needs to determine the appropriate quantity and variety of flooring materials.

· Conduct market research, analyze trends, and visit flooring production factories to ensure quality and competitiveness.

· Coordinate logistics and delivery with vendors and receivers, maintaining optimal inventory levels and product quality. Business trips abroad may be required.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

· Completion of secondary school is required.

· A University degree or college diploma in business, marketing or related field.

· At least 1 year of prior experience in sales, retail, or wholesale purchasing is required.

· Strong skills in market analysis, product selection, and pricing negotiation are essential.

· Efficient interpersonal and communication skills.

· Strong organizational and coordination abilities.
