Job description
Job title: kitchen helper
Full-time permanent.
Work hours: Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week
Wage: $16.50/hour
Work Location: 150-3321 Gaetz Ave W Red Deer, AB, T4N3Y2
Language: English
Vacation: 10 days of paid vacation per annum or remuneration of 4% of gross salary
Core Responsibilities
1. Wash and peel vegetables and fruit
2. Wash work tables, cupboards and appliances
3. Remove trash and clean kitchen garbage containers
4. Unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, cupboards and other storage areas
5. Sweep and mop floors, and perform other duties to assist cook and kitchen staff.
Requirements and skills
Bring clean dishes, flatware and other items to serving areas, set tables
Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs
Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and flatware, Place dishes in storage area
Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas
Package take-out food, Portion and wrap foods
Prepare, heat and finish simple food items
Take customers’ orders
Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storageareas, appliances and equipment
Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboardsand other storage areas
Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors, Remove kitchen garbage and trash
Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit
