Nexcen Enterprises Corp (o/a red lion inn and suites) is seeking qualified Hotel Deputy General Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Hotel Deputy General Manager at Red Lion, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational management of our diverse portfolio of hotels and restaurants. Your role will involve setting and approving organizational goals, policies, and plans, as well as establishing key departments and appointing senior personnel. You will allocate resources, both material and human, to implement organizational strategies and ensure financial and administrative control. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in crafting and approving promotional activities and overall personnel planning.

 

Title: Hotel Deputy General Manager

Term: Full-time, permanent

Wage: $40-$60 (to be negotiated)

Hours: 30-40 hours a week (to be negotiated)

Vacation Pay: 10 days paid vacation.

Work Location: 3366 suite Douglas St, Victoria, BC V8Z 3L3

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement long-term strategies to drive growth, profitability, and guest satisfaction across all properties.
Continuously assess market trends and competitor activities to ensure Red Lion remains at the forefront of the hospitality industry.
Provide hands-on leadership and guidance to hotel managers and department heads to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Implement quality assurance programs and conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with brand standards, local regulations, and industry best practices.
Recruit, train, and develop a talented team of hospitality professionals across all levels of the organization.
Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and career development opportunities to foster employee engagement and retention.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with local businesses, government officials, and tourism organizations to drive awareness, collaboration, and partnerships that benefit the hotel group.
Develop and implement crisis management plans to address emergencies, natural disasters, or other unexpected events that may impact hotel operations.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage within the hospitality landscape.
Requirements:

A college diploma in business administration, finance or other discipline related to the service provided.
3-5 years of experience as a middle manager in trade or other service.
Proficient in basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, etc.).
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently.
