Job Description
We are looking for a warm-hearted and dependable individual to join our family as a Home Support Worker. In this role, you will provide compassionate care and support to our elderly parents (65+), ensuring they feel comfortable, respected, and safe. Your role will be vital in helping them with daily activities while offering companionship and emotional support.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and other daily tasks
Support mobility and encourage light exercise, such as walking, to maintain physical well-being
Help with light housekeeping duties, including laundry and maintaining a clean and pleasant home environment
Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a caring atmosphere where they feel valued and heard
Qualifications
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Previous caregiving experience is an asset, though a caring attitude is most important
Knowledge of senior care practices is beneficial
Physical ability to assist with tasks that may involve lifting (up to 23 kg/50 lbs)
A compassionate, patient, and reliable individual who truly enjoys helping others
Fluent in English
